Visitors won’t want to miss the Siberian tigers and leopard, Brazilian ocelot (dwarf leopard), Mexican wolves, and Golden Lion tamarins (monkeys). Other highlights include the South American rainforest with free-flight aviary, the prairie dog exhibit with “pop-up” viewing areas, and the New England Farmyard.. The beautiful colors of fall have arrived at Litchfield Hills Nursery, Route 202 in Litchfield.  Choose from a wide variety of mums in different sizes and colors, plus asters, kale, cabbage, trees and shrubs, and check out their new greenhouse!  You’ll notice the wave of autumn colors when you drive by – Litchfield Hills Nursery, Route 202 in Litchfield, open 7 days a week. 860-567-9374.

It’s the 33rd Annual Family  Nature Day, Saturday, September 27th from 11 to 5 at White Memorial Conservation Center in Litchfield.    Mother Nature is calling you to celebrate with the White Memorial Foundation featuring skyhunters in flight, riverside reptiles, Atka the Wolf, The bat Lady, Drama the North Porcupine and more!  Admission is $6 for adults, children 12 & under and members are free.  Live music, crafts for kids, horse drawn wagon rides, you could even win a trip for 2 to Iceland in the raffle!  For more info, visit white memorial cc dot org or call 860-567-0857.
