October 4th, 5th, & 6th.  Friday the 4th get a $25 wristband and enjoy the rides all night!  Friday also features mini-horse pulls, and the Wamogo Lumberjack Team. Enjoy a classic car show, entertainment, contests, agricultural displays, kids’ activities, and great fair food! The Pisgah Mountain Primitives and historic reenactors are there all weekend. Visit the early Americana displays and country store.   For entertainment, Andrew Owen will perform on Friday, The Tradesmen Band on Saturday, and on Sunday, it’s The Sidekick Band!   Enjoy The Connecticut Bristol Old Time Fiddlers Sunday morning too.   The Harwinton Fair runs Friday the 4th from 4 to 9 pm, Saturday the 5th 8 to 8, and Sunday, October 6th from 8 to 5 at the fairgrounds, 150 Locust Road, off Route 4. Saturday, September 28th from 10 to 3.  This self-guided tour features 6 different homes offering an array of style, size and personal décor.  Check-in starts at the Northwest Chamber, 333 Kennedy Drive, Torrington.  Tickets are $30 each in advance and $35 the day of the event.  Tickets and more info available online at www.torringtonhousetour.org.  Proceeds to benefit the Torrington Historical Society and the NWCT Chamber Education Foundation.

 

 

October 12th & 13th at the Warren WoodsPrize is admission for 4 plus 4 food vouchers.A true country fair welcoming Autumn!  Presented by the Warren Volunteer Fire Department, the Fall Festival features tons of fall fun for the whole family including:  the Garden Tractor Pull Saturday the 12th, the Antique Tractor Pull Sunday the 13th, Children’s Activities, Vendors, the Pumpkin Cannon, Wamogo Timber Team, Magic Show, Fire Truck Rides, RC Race Cars, Petting Zoo, Wamogo Ag Ed Programs and more!  Visit the Women’s Auxiliary Country Store featuring freshmade apple pies, and the Fire Company’s Famous open-pit roast beef sandwiches!   Take Route 7 to Kent or 202 to New Preston and follow the signs to the Warren Woods.  The Warren Fall Festival October 12th & 13th.
